These bulbs have been designed to minimise exposure to blue light, feature flicker-reduction technology, and operate with low electromagnetic output.

The Sweet Dreams amber bulbs are crafted to reduce blue light exposure below 500nm, while the Twilight red light Bulbs go even further by reducing both blue and green light up to 570nm.

Unlike many standard LED bulbs that may emit higher levels of blue light and exhibit flickering characteristics, BlockBlueLight’s bulbs are purpose-built for nighttime use, offering a softer, more relaxing light that’s easier on the eyes in the evening hours. 

While conventional LED bulbs are known for emitting high levels of blue light and often exhibit flickering, BlockBlueLight’s lighting solutions are engineered differently.

Yes absolutely, these bulbs are designed to be a general use light bulb for all areas of the home, they provide sufficient light for living areas and bedrooms, but also give off a warm, relaxing, soft light making them suitable for reading lamps and nurseries.

Because eliminating blue light at night is so important, you should use the SweetDreams bulbs in any room you or your family typically spend evening and night hours.

Ideally, you would turn off your lights and keep your room as dark as possible during sleep. However, if you are uncomfortable sleeping with the lights off, we recommend using the Red Night Lights which have been designed to provide very low wattage and just enough dim light to take the darkness out of the room, and these can safely be kept on while sleeping.

These light bulbs are not suitable to be used with dimmer switches or to be dimmed. This is by design, because when LED bulbs are dimmed and are not running at full brightness it significantly increases the amount of flicker from the light, it also creates high EMF levels being emitted from the bulbs. These light bulbs are designed to be flicker free and low EMF, so to not compromise this they are made non dimmable.
